Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Q: What are the Ranch hours?
A: We are open Monday thru Sunday from 9am to 7pm during Summer and 9am to 5pm during Winter for order pickup. If you are coming to enjoy our ranch events or activities, they are available Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm. You can check out the Events tab to get more information of the current events happening and their specific hours.
Q: Do you sell live animals?
A: Yes we do! Part of being a working ranch means we deal with some livestock. Our ranch specializes in Cattle and Sheep. If you have livestock needs, please contact us and we can provide you with high quality animals raised humanly in green pastures.
Payments
Q: What forms of payment do you accept during the events?
A: We can accept cash, credit cards or Zelle. Not all of our staff is able to charge credit cards so keep that in mind when planning your visit.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept for order pickups?

Dairy and Eggs
Q: Should I bring my own egg carton or container?
A: Yes, please do. We use recycled egg cartons that people gift us when available but we don't always have them.
Q: Should I bring my own jug when buying milk?
A: Yes, please bring your own jug or container to transport the milk you want to purchase. We can sometimes provide a sanitized recycled water container when available for $1.00
Q: Is the milk freshly milked from the cow?
A: Yes, we milk our cows daily and sell the milk daily as well. The milk you are buying is fresh from that day. We suggest that upon taking it home, you boil it so that it lasts longer.
Q: What time do you milk the cows?
A: We usually milk our cows daily at Noon but times can vary. We are a working ranch and sometimes things come up with the animals that can change the time of milking. When orders are scheduled, we may also need to change the time for milking.
Bakery
Q: Are the breads and cakes homemade or bought from a store?
A: All of our breads and cakes are homemade and you can taste the difference.
Q: Do the breads have any preservatives?
A: None of our bakery items have chemical preservatives or flavorings. We use high quality ingredients and sometimes a dash of lemon juice to keep things fresher longer. Our bread lasts about a week on your counter when covered and our cheesecake lasts about 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Pickup, Shipping, Deliveries
Q: Should I order ahead of time or can I just go to the ranch and buy what I want?
A: Whenever possible, we ask that you purchase ahead of time or at least give us a call to ensure that the item is in stock and less wait time at pickup. We try our best to have everything ready by the time you arrive when orders are placed beforehand. You can always add to your order once you arrive at the ranch if there is availability. Items from the Bakery section of our shop are made-to-order and would not be available same day for pickup. We ask that anything from the Bakery be ordered ahead of time to ensure that you can pick it up by the day you need it.
Q: Is the gate open at the ranch to go inside?
A: The gate is open Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm without appointments. The gate is usually closed Monday thru Friday due to our sheep and other animals. They like to eat and they like to roam so we keep the entry gate closed to avoid the wandering animals from getting out. If you set a specific pickup time on your order, we will keep an eye on the gate for you and open it when you are here. If you do not set a specific time, we ask that you give us a call upon arrival and we will open the gate for you.
Q: Do you ship items?
A: We do ship certain items. Things like our artisanal infused sugars are now available for shipping anywhere in the USA. We are working on figuring out a way to ship some of the items like breads, cheeses and eggs. If shipping becomes available for more items, you will be able to buy and complete the shipping information online under the "Shippable Goods" section of the site.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: We cannot deliver at this time. Unfortunately we are only two people working at the ranch daily and some family comes to help every once in a while. Due to that, we are not able to go deliver.
Q: Is there another location I could pick up my items?
A: Unfortunately our Arlington route is suspended for the time being.
